Hangover Remedies

Coffee

There are a lot of mixed feelings when it comes to drinking coffee the day after a long night of binging and boozing. Alcohol dehydrates the body; so does coffee. It’s best to stay away from coffee; however, you may have plans that you can’t reschedule, so a bit of caffeine will help wake you up. However, two primary aspects of hangover are nausea and tremors, both of which caffeine makes worse.

Eggs

Eggs contain taurine, which has been shown to reverse liver damage caused by a night of heavy boozing. Also, eggs are an easily digested food that’s gentle on your stomach. You may be tempted to make a serving of greasy bacon with your eggs, but eating greasy foods as a cure for hangovers is a myth (and completely unhealthy)! Stick to a nice batch of scrambled eggs and let the eggs’ large amount of cysteine eggs  absorb alcohol’s leftover toxins in your body.
